Tom Mix

Tom Mix [Tom Mix]
(1880–1940) a US actor in more than 400 silent ↑westerns. He was the first ‘King of the Cowboys’ and was one of Hollywood's richest actors in the 1920s. He wore white clothes and a white hat, and was an excellent rider. His films included Riders of the Purple Sage (1925) and The Last Trail (1927). Mix toured the country with his own ↑circus in the 1930s. He died in a car crash.
